Villanova HRD 2024 Graduate Celebration
Congratulations to the Villanova HRD Class of 2024! We are excited to celebrate your accomplishment with you. This year, we will be holding a variety of graduation events to recognize our 2024 graduates. These events will be a mix of in-person and virtual, as we hope to accommodate as many graduates as we can. We hope our graduates will be able to join us for all or some of these events. Additionally, we would love to see your posts and graduation celebrations on social media. Below you will find opportunities to share your #VillanovaHRD pride and celebrate becoming an alum! Thursday, May 16, 2024 8:00-9:00 PM EDT | Virtual HRD Graduate Recognition (virtual event)
We welcome our 2024 graduates, their families, loved ones, HRD faculty, and staff to join us in celebrating our graduates this year. In this virtual Graduate Recognition, we would ask our grads to join us in their academic regalia as we hear inspirational words from HRD faculty and a few students. Bring your own bubbly, or whatever you would toast with, for our celebratory toast to our graduates! We hope to see all of our 2024 HRD graduates at this event! Registration is open to both campus and online 2024 HRD graduates and all guests are welcome. Registration is required to attend. Please register here for the Virtual Recognition Ceremony.

Saturday, May 18, 2024 11:30am - 1:00pm, Connelly Tent | HRD Graduate Reception (in-person event)
Our 2024 graduates, their families and loved ones are formally invited to join HRD faculty and staff for our Graduate Reception. This event will take place on campus in the Connelly Tent (just behind Connelly Center at the circle drive) ahead of the Masters and Doctoral Commencement Ceremony. Light lunch will be served. This event will be a great time to meet your classmates and professors face-to-face, take pictures, and celebrate all of your accomplishments as an HRD graduate. We will have a DJ, photo booth, and a special guest speaker. We will be taking a group graduate photo, as well! This event is free for our graduates and their guests. We ask those who plan to attend to register and let us know the number of people you will be bringing to celebrate with you. Please register here for the in-person HRD Reception.

Saturday, May 18, 2024 | Masters and Doctoral Commencement Ceremony (in-person event)
The Class of 2024 will gather in their caps and gowns in the Villanova Stadium. University President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA and the deans from each of the Colleges and Schools will confer degrees. At this ceremony, the names of all graduates will be called, and graduates will walk across the stage. The ceremony is approximately two and a half hours, and each graduate is permitted up to four guests. Tickets will be distributed digitally in early May. The commencement ceremony will be live streamed. Details for attending this event can be found on the Villanova Commencement website. Livestream details can also be found on the Commencement website.

Saturday, May 18, 2024 | President and Dean's Reception (in-person event)
Immediately following the Masters and Doctoral Commencement Ceremony, all HRD graduates and their guests are invited to join the President and Dean's Reception, where graduates and their guests can enjoy light refreshments while celebrating with fellow graduates and faculty in college-designated locations throughout campus. During this reception, there will be a special area for HRD Graduates and their guests to meet with HRD Faculty and Staff, as well as your fellow graduates. Graduates need to have registered to attend commencement to attend this reception. Again, details for this event can be found on the Villanova Commencement website. This event will close out the Commencement celebrations on campus.

One of our favorite things to do each year is celebrate our graduates. We know that not all of you will be able to attend the in-person events, and we want to see how you are celebrating at home with your family and loved ones. If you share a picture on social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter), please tag us @Villanova_HRD and include the hashtag #VillanovaHRD. With your permission, we may share some of your pictures to our accounts.

Purchase Villanova HRD Merchandise
Our student SHRM chapter, VUSHRM, runs a shop where you can purchase Villanova HRD merchandise including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and stickers. There are HRD Alumni sweatshirts available for purchase (and would be a great graduation gift!). All purchases from the VUSHRM shop help to support this student-run organization funded entirely through a small Villanova student organization budget, donations, and fundraising. Limited quantities and sizes are available. Shipping is included in all prices. (Please note that shipping is sent USPS first-class and may take 7-10 business days to ship.) A Villanova HRD Hat, Shirt, Sweatshirt, or Laptop Sticker makes for a great gift for a graduate. (Hint hint to all the loved ones reading this page!)
The VUSHRM Shop will close for the summer on Monday, May 13th. It will reopen in the Fall on September 1st.
