Insights from 40 years of I/O Psychology Research | #HRTea
The final episode of #HRTea is now live on iTunes and Google Play. In this episode, Bethany sat down with Dr. Rick Jacobs, an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with more than 40 years of research and consulting experience.
This year, 2020, marks the 40th anniversary of the Villanova HRD program. The HRD program has been educating HR leaders for 40 years, and through those years the profession of HR has certainly evolved. Rick's work over the last 40 years has not only seen the evolution of the HR profession, his research has informed and shaped that evolution.
Rick is a professor of psychology at Penn State University and was founder and CEO of a consulting firm specializing in selection and assessment. In this episode, you will hear some of the interesting projects and consulting work Rick has done, and he will share how the research in our field has grown more complicated and challenging for I/O psychologists.
