Meet the 2024-2025 VUSHRM Board!

We're excited to officially debut our new graduate assistants and VUSHRM board for the 2024-2025 VillanovaHRD school year! The board is excited to kick off the year with plenty of fun events and activities. But for now, let's get a better idea of who your VUSHRM board is!

New Additions!

Kaitlyn Jashinski

Starting off we have our new Director of Finance, Kaitlyn Jashinski

"Hey y'all, my name is Kaitlyn! I am originally from Overland Park, Kansas, but moved to Fayetteville Arkansas for undergrad. I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Sociology and a degree in Criminology. I am a first-year graduate student here at Villanova, a graduate assistant in the HRD program, and pursuing my certificate in People Analytics. I look forward to learning more about HR and building up my knowledge, experience, and network! I am so excited to be a part of this team, as well as VUSHRM, and to spend time on this beautiful campus!"

AnaLeah Overbey

Next we have AnaLeah Overbey, our new Director of Membership Engagement!

"Hi all, my name is AnaLeah Overbey! I am from Newport News, Virginia. During my undergraduate studies at James Madison University, I majored in Psychology and minored in Criminal Justice and African, African American, & Diaspora Studies (AAAD). I previously worked for the Navy as a Human Resources Assistant, which piqued my interest in the field of human resources. Now, I am a first-year graduate student and a Graduate Assistant in HRD program. I am looking forward to learning more about the field, growing my network, and assisting in any way I can!"

Returning Board Members!

Diep Tran

You may recognize Diep Tran, your VUSHRM Director of Operations. Diep is gearing up for her second year in the HRD program and in this graduate assistant position. Let's hear a bit about who Diep is!

"Hello everyone! I’m Diep Tran and I’m from Vietnam. I graduated from University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor in Business Administration (Management option) and a minor in Hospitality Management. Currently, I am a second-year graduate student at Villanova and a Graduate Assistant in the HRD program. Before coming to Villanova, I worked as a Training and Development specialist in the banking and hospitality industries. Through my work, I developed a strong interest in T&D and HR so I’m coming to Villanova with a great passion to learn more about different HR functions and aspects. I’m excited to build up my knowledge, experience, and network through the HRD program as well as VUSHRM."

Aisling Maguire

Another familiar face! Aisling is continuing in her role as Director of Communications and wrapping up her HRD degree this year as well. Let's hear what she has to say!

"Hey there! My name is Aisling. I'm currently a second-year student in the HRD program! I graduated from Villanova in 2019 and since then I've had a great time learning about the different roles HR professionals have in different organizations. I'm thrilled to be kicking off my final year at Villanova with this great group of graduate assistants, and I can't wait to see where VUSHRM takes us this year!"

Tyra Johnson

Lastly, we have our new VUSHRM president, Tyra Johnson, stepping into this role in her second year as a GA and VUSHRM board member!

"Hey, I'm Tyra! I am from Peoria, Illinois. I received my B.A in Human resource management and Communication rhetorical studies from Illinois College. I am currently a Graduate Assistant in the HRD program, pursuing my MS and certification in Inclusion & Diversity Strategy. I am excited to be part of the team and help anyone, so feel free to reach out."
